Prayer to Saint Aloysius for Purity of Soul and Body

O BLESSED Aloysius! adorned with angelic virtues, I, thy most unworthy servant, recommend specially to thee most the chastity of my soul and body; praying thee by thy angelic purity, to plead for me with Jesus Christ, the Immaculate Lamb, and His most Holy Mother, the Virgin of virgins, that they would vouchsafe to keep me from all grievous sin.

O never let me be defiled with any stain against my chastity; but when thou seest me in temptation, or in danger of falling, remove far from me all bad thoughts and wicked desires; and awaken in me the memory of an eternity to come, and of Jesus crucified.

Impress deeply in my heart a holy fear of God, and thus kindling in me the fire of thy divine love, enable me to follow thy footsteps here on earth, that in heaven with thee, I may be made worthy to enjoy the sight of our God forever. Through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Amen.

Recite one Our Father, Hail Mary, and Glory Be.

Saint Aloysius, Pray for Us.

(100 days Indulgence once daily if recited with the Our Father and Hail Mary. – Pius VII. A.)

Prayer to Saint Maria Goretti for Purity and Holiness

O St. Maria Goretti, strengthened by God’s grace, thou didst not hesitate, even at the age of eleven, to shed thy blood and sacrifice life itself to defend thy virginal purity. Look graciously on the unhappy human race that has strayed far from the path of eternal salvation.

Teach us that courage and promptness in fleeing temptation that will help us avoid anything that could offend Jesus or stain our souls with sin.

Obtain for us a great horror of impurity and of all sin, victory in temptation, comfort in the sorrows of life, and the grace which we earnestly beg of thee, so that we may live a holy life on earth and win eternal glory in Heaven.

Amen.

Recite one Our Father, Hail Mary, and Glory Be.

Saint Maria Goretti, Pray for Us.

Prayer to Saint Raphael for Purity

St. Raphael, Patron Angel of Youth, I beg you to plead with God for me, that I may always keep my life pure and holy. As thou didst guard the young Tobias from dangers of soul and body on his journey to a strange land, protect me from the many dangers that confront me in my life. Strengthen me in my struggle against the temptations of the world, the flesh, and the devil.

I pray and beg of Thee, glorious Saint Raphael, to be my Patron Angel of Purity. For thy great love for Jesus, the King of Angels and for Mary, the Queen of the Angels, deign to keep me from all uncleanness and to obtain that my mind may be untainted, my heart pure, and my body chaste. May I frequently receive the “Bread of Angels” in Holy Communion , that it may be an effective remedy and protection against the temptations that press round about me, and seal my heart forever against the suggestions of sinful pleasures.

Help me always to serve Jesus and Mary in perfect chastity, so that one day I may merit to belong to those of whom Jesus spoke when He said, “Blessed are the pure of heart for they shall see God.”

Amen.

Recite one Our Father, Hail Mary, and Glory Be.

Saint Raphael the Archangel, Pray for Us.
